Beginning early 2007 Governor Rendell has committed to making health insurance available to every uninsured Pennsylvania child. He has done so by removing CHIP's income limits and adding funds to the state budget so that CHIP can expand to cover all uninsured children.

Please apply for CHIP if your children need health insurance! Tell your friends, family and co-workers too!

There are three easy ways to apply for CHIP:

  • on the web at http://www.compass.state.pa.us/

  • Over the phone by calling 1-800-986-KIDS (5437)

  • By paper application - call 1-800-986 KIDS (5437) to request an application

In York County, fortunately, programs have been developed to get your family the health care coverage that it needs.

Your children could qualify for free and low-cost health care coverage.
