Pickup and drop off times:

When dropping off a student, please enter the parent drop-off line between the hours of 8:10 - 8:20 AM. The front doors close at 8:25 AM. If you arrive at school after 8:25 AM you will need to park and bring your child into the school office and sign them in. When picking students up in the afternoon, please be at the parent pick-up line between 3:05 and 3:20 PM.

If you send someone to pick up your child anytime during the school day, we need to have a written note from you giving us permission to release your child to that person and a photo ID is also requested. Persons listed on the emergency contact card also need a written note from you.

Please refrain from driving through the bus lane in front of the school during bus drop-off and departure.

Transportation notice:

If your child needs to ride a bus other than his/her regularly assigned bus one day, a note from both parties is required. That means a note from the parent of the child who is getting on/off at a different location and a note from the adult responsible at the alternate bus stop. Please notify the office if it is necessary to schedule a bus change, as these changes need to be approved by the Director of Transportation prior to taking place. Only in emergency situations will these changes be considered.

Reporting student absences:

Please call the office (717-993-2725 option 1) first thing in the morning to report your student's absence. Please give your child's name, teacher and reason for absence. If you would like us to send homework home with another student, please give us his/her name and teacher - or -If you prefer to pick it up, please leave a message. As always, please submit an Online excuse through the Sapphire Community Portal or send in an excuse note upon your child's return to school, stating the date of absence, reason for absence, and parent/guardian signature.
